West Beach and Diana Dunes Dare
There’s more than fun in the sun at West Beach in the Indiana Dunes National Park! Take a break from the sand and waves and take on the new hiking challenge, the Diana Dunes Dare. The dare follows the Dune Succession Trail at West Beach and tells the story of Alice Mabel Gray, known as “Diana of the Dunes” of regional folklore. This scenic, but strenuous, trail includes a climb up lots of stairs for a spectacular view of Lake Michigan and Chicago.
Once you’ve completed the dare, stop by the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center to receive a bumper sticker as a reward. Don’t forget to visit the official Indiana Dunes merchandise store for Diana Dunes Dare apparel!
