West Beach Dunes Succession Trail
The West Beach Trails consist of three loops of varying distance and terrain. You can start from the beach, or from a trailhead in the parking lot in Gary.
The environment changes throughout the trail, from beach to lush forest with grand views of ponds and lakes, including Long Lake. In spring the wildflowers put on a vibrant display along the trail.
