The newly remodeled Morris Inn on the campus of the University of Notre Dame has reason to celebrate – the luxurious hotel property was just recognized as a AAA Four Diamond Award recipient. Furthermore, Morris Inn is the only Indiana hotel north of Indianapolis to receive the coveted accolade.
Morris Inn is now the tenth hotel in the state to receive the Four Diamond rating, with “less than five percent of the more than 30,000 properties approved by AAA being awarded Four Diamond status,” according to a Notre Dame release. Properties are assessed on cleanliness and condition; management and staff; grounds, public areas and exterior; guest-room décor, ambiance and amenities; bathrooms; and guest services. Only the hotels with the highest degree of these features, as well as modern amenities, receive the award.
“We’re proud of the level of service we offer our guests and look forward to continuing that service in the years to come,” says Morris Inn director and general manager, Joe Kurth, in a release from Notre Dame. “We invite guests to come explore the recent re-imagination of the hotel, in which the goal was to provide our visitors with an updated design and all of the modern amenities expected by today’s traveler, while still preserving the spirit and tradition of Notre Dame experienced in the original hotel.”
