The Taste of Michigan City is an exciting annual event presented by the Michigan City Mainstreet Association in the Uptown Arts District that showcases our city’s amazing food, artsy and local businesses. The festivities begin on Friday, August 4 at 4 PM with delicious samplings from local restaurants, incredible live music and a beer garden featuring several local breweries; continuing on Saturday, August 5 starting at noon.
This year’s mainstage will feature an electrifying performance by Walt Whitman’s Soul Children of Chicago on Friday, August 4 at 6 PM, presented by Mayor Ron Meer and the City of Michigan City, the Michigan City Commission on the Social Status of African American Males and The Michigan City Gateway Public Art Committee.
Admission is free with vendors accepting cash and/or credit cards for their offerings. The Taste of Michigan City is kid-friendly, accessible and open to everyone.
